Equal Pay
Deal is testament to partnership enjoyed with DHL, says GMB Union
GMB members have voted to accept a ‘bumper’ pay deal that includes a reduced working week for drivers.
Drivers and warehouse workers at DHL Life Sciences Banbury, will benefit from a 6.5 per cent pay increase and a reduction in hours.
The rise follows a 9 per cent increase negotiated last year.
GMB members at DHL Banbury supply medical devices, pharmaceutical and clinical trials logistics and supply chains.
Steve Garelick, GMB London Region Organiser said:
“We are delighted to have won a bumper pay rise for our members who work at this important facility.
“GMB is working to gain similar recognition at other DHL sites.
“The reaching of a pay settlement when so many workplaces do not have representation is a testament to the value of a partnership such as the one enjoyed with DHL at this site and many others.”
